So, today I took a day to explore my nearest city, Washington, DC.
I'm walking into the National Gallery of Art, when I run into my friend and co-worker, Doug, his wife Jess, and two of their friends. Not such a coincidence, as work is only about 20 miles away. In fact, I later ran into another friend and co-worker, Amalia. Again, not such an odd coincidence.
But, back to Doug and his friends. I casually asked them where they were visiting from. "Indiana." I replied, telling them that my wife and a friend are going to see the movie "Columbus" tonight, about a very small town (pop. 46,850) in Indiana. "Oh, we're from Columbus!" was their reply. Now I find that odd.
